In its effort to bring together today’s most dynamic business leaders and entrepreneurs, Business Network Chicago (BNC) is holding a panel discussion on Wednesday morning to help business owners and professionals establish themselves and foster successful relationships in the city’s business community.

Entitled “Panel Discussion on What does it take to run a small business”, the event will be held on February 10 at the Wells Fargo Advisors, Adams and Canal, 3F South Riverside Plaza in Chicago.

The agenda is to share resources, best practices, and experiences crucial in supporting BNC’s members – startups, small business owners, and solo entrepreneurs, among others – and helping them lead a successful company. The discussion will feature four panelists: Pattie Cagney Sheehan, marketing and advertising professional and cancer recovery advocate; Donald Strzepek, owner of leading Chicago jeweler The Tucker Company; Priscilla Taylor, owner of a Maui Wowi Hawaiian Coffees & Smoothies franchise; and Lakeshore Branding’s very own Chris Campbell, visionary entrepreneur and SEO and Internet marketing expert. Raman Chadha from DePaul University’’s highly-ranked entrepreneurship program will be the moderator of the panel discussion.

The BNC is a professional networking and career development organization serving over 4,000 members in the greater Chicago area. It is committed to educating and facilitating the development of members throughout all phases of their career, and to supporting these members as they look for jobs, clients, new talent, capital, strategic alliances, and creative ideas.

“BNC Entrepreneur” is a demonstration of that commitment. The event thus gathers four successful business leaders in Sheehan, Strzepek, Taylor, and Campbell, all of whom will be sharing their knowledge, experiences, and expertise in taking businesses to the next level.

“I’m excited to be part of BNC Entrpreneur,” Chris said. “At Lakeshore Branding we’re committed to supporting individuals and businesses grow and succeed, and that’s why I’m thrilled with this opportunity to share my entrepreneurial experiences to help members of the BNC with their own business endeavors.”

Apart from his role at Lakeshore Branding, Chris also currently advises five startup companies and has worked as a marketing consultant for brands like Dell, Gortex, Jamba Juice, and even professional sports teams like the Chicago Bears.

Sheehan, whose last corporate position was Vice President, Director of Client Service for an ad agency, is now operating Second Act, the only cancer recovery boutique in downtown Chicago. Her business, which came in 2008 as a career opportunity she had never anticipated, specializes in helping individuals who have undergone breast surgery and chemotherapy.

Strzepek, meanwhile, has over 25 years of experience in business and education. After having earned a gemologist degree in 1993 from the Gemological Institute of America, Strzepek purchased one of Chicago’s oldest diamond and fine jewelry houses, The Tucker Company. He also currently serves on the Board of the Chicago Jewelers Association.

Taylor has spent over two decades of her corporate life in the field of Product and Research Development, responsible for developing personal care products for global distribution. After a chance meeting with a consultant of the Hawaiian-themed coffee and smoothies store, Maui Wowi Hawaiian Coffees & Smoothies, Taylor decided to own and operate her own franchise.
