HTML/CSS Front End Developer

Lakeshore Branding is a small digital marketing agency that is currently located in Lincoln Park, but moving to a new River North location in the next few weeks.

We are a growing firm and we’re in need of an energetic “jack-of-all-trades” developer.

We have flexible hours, you can work from home or the office. If you enjoy working independently in a small company atmosphere, where your input counts and your hard work is appreciated, Lakeshore Branding is the place for you.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Ability to convert design files into HTML for open source CMS such asWordPress and Magento Commerce.
  • Assist in developing HTML, CSS, JS, PHP and MySQL
  • Interact with Creative Director to maintain and troubleshoot website issues.

Skills

  • Must be proficient in PHP.
  • Must have excellent HTML, JavaScript and CSS skills.
  • Must have SQL expertise and demonstrated ability in database driven application development. MySQL experience is essential.
  • Proficiency with other client-side and server-side technologies such as Ajax, Flash, CGI, Perl, a plus.
  • Experience working in a Apache server environment.
  • Must be able to learn new skills, highly organized and detailed-oriented.
  • Must have strong analytical, trouble shooting and problem solving skills
  • Must be able to follow procedures and help modify existing procedures.
  • Must work effectively in time-sensitive situations and meet deadlines.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Based on experience, Hourly compensation.
  • Full time contract position, with opportunity to switch to salary after proven track record.
