The following are some simple web marketing integration ideas that can accelerate your campaign efforts – and business.
Share messages on several channels
The first step in integrating all your Internet marketing efforts is to tell a message repeatedly across various channels. Let’s say you have a new product to announce. Make sure the news is on your website’s news page as a link to media coverage or as a press release. Re-communicate the message in your blog (in a conversational tone) and have it posted on your Facebook page, tweeted on Twitter, and E-mailed to the opt-in e-mail / subscriber list. In addition, you might want to showcase the news in your website’s home page, as a form of attention-catching headline or ticker.
The truth is that customers will not get access to your information in the same way. They all have their own preferences, after all. By amplifying your message on several online marketing channels, it makes it more likely that your message will be read. Putting in a little extra effort to distribute your messages on several channels can make a huge difference.
Connect social media messaging
Give your customers alternatives on how they can receive information. If you have a Facebook page, Twitter account, blog, LinkedIn account and a website, show all alternatives on all channels. A site needs to have clear widgets or icons that show all social media networks you are on. You can link your Twitter account to your blog or site. You can have an ‘Info’ tab on your Facebook page which can include a link to your Twitter account, your blog, and your website. A LinkedIn account can have up to three links, too.
There are also ways of automatically connecting your social media marketing messages. Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn all offer great and free automatic tools. If you want to go the extra mile, go ahead and create your own Twitter archive.
Make your blog and site integration hubs
Do you blog? Then you could include a blog feed on your website’s home page so that it frequently receives new content. This will not only give site visitors a reason to return, but will also help enhance your search engine / SEO visibility.
Do you want to get subscribers for an E-mail marketing newsletter? Then include an E-mail newsletter sign-up option on your site.
A blog can become the heart of social media and can be useful for bringing together all web applications used. Remember to include RSS (Really Simple Syndication) on your blog so that loyal readers can get new posts directly through their readers or their E-mail inboxes.
If you have a LinkedIn, Twitter or Facebook account, make sure you add social media icons on the website in a visible place. This will invite visitors to connect on their preferred channels.
Integrate using your E-mail signature
E-mail signatures have great marketing power. They are an effective marketing tool for you and the company. If you have not set up an automatic E-mail signature, you need to do so.
